DMED: A Taste of Culture

DMED celebrates the essence of the Mediterranean diet, connecting the region’s rich culinary traditions with contemporary insights into health and sustainability. Tasked with creating a logo and brand identity for this inaugural event near Paestum, Italy, I drew inspiration from the local heritage and the timeless bond between culture and cuisine. The result is a design that honours tradition while appealing to a modern audience.

The logo merges historical and agricultural motifs into a unified, circular design. Inspired by the iconic columns of Paestum’s ancient Greek temple and the patterns of farming crops viewed from above, the elements are brought together in a continuous line to form the letter 'D.' This unbroken flow symbolises the Mediterranean diet’s enduring connection to nature, history, and health, creating a visual identity as timeless as the event it represents.
